All of our designers have gone through a rigorous and intensive training and apprenticeship
to achieve our high standards of service.
We continue our growth through constant advanced training in technique and current fashion direction. Levels are awarded based on years of experience, client retention and demand.
New Talent Stylists offer their services at a greatly discounted rate as they are still working to master our systems at Space. They will take longer for their services and may need help from more senior staff. Booking with a New Talent Stylist helps us to train our newer staff and is suitable for clients who are more relaxed with their expectations.
Level 2 Stylists have graduated from New Talent, and still may be under the guidance of our more senior team. Your salon experience should be the same.
Colour prices between levels do not vary a lot as our stylists all specialize in colour and use the same premium colour lines.
A hairdresser since 1993, Michael Levine is one of Canada's most celebrated hairstylists. Appearing on stages all around the world, Michael is a true expert in precision cutting, shorter hair, blonding, and colour corrections.
Liz Abreu, Space co-owner, is a wonderful hairdresser. A part of the Pulp Riot show team, Liz has travelled the world working countless shows. Please DM Liz through her Instagram to inquire about bookings, as Liz works a limited schedule between both locations.
Jaelyn is simply one of Vancouver's very best hairdressers. She is something of a prodigy, winning the Contessa Award for Canadian Student/ Apprentice of the Year in 2014 and making finalist for 2014 North American Newcomer Hairstylist of the Year. Jaelyn is a master colourist, known for her incredible corrections, and is renowned for her balayage. Getting an appointment to see Jaelyn is something that should be planned well in advance.
Kara is a balayage/ blonding expert, as well as a fantastic precision haircutter. If you've never experienced "air-touch balayage, Kara is the go-to in Vancouver for this service. She also has a wonderful personality and it's a pleasure to sit in her chair.
Anthony has been doing hair since 2003, and joined the Space team in 2014. He is a very technical haircutter and takes tremendous pride in his outstanding cutting and colouring work, but it's his personality that really makes a visit with Anthony something to look forward to. Anthony works a very limited schedule as he has taken on the role of Lead Instructor at the Vancouver Hairdressing Academy.
Tasia is a graduate of the Vancouver Hair Academy, and is an expert with fades and barbering, colour corrections, and can thread your brows while you are sitting waiting for her fantastic colour to develop.
Annie is an energetic and lovely personality, loves creating gorgeous colour for her clients, is a braiding queen, and continues to work hard towards mastering her skills as a hairstylist.
Kirsty is a fantastic stylist, strong in cutting and colouring and blonding makeovers. She's also becoming a pretty great barber as well.
Elie is the cool cat you'll likely see first when you walk in the door. He loves cutting, colouring and styling, especially precision cuts.
